About Me
I am a Senior Clinical Psychologist with a passion for helping individuals navigate difficulties with anxiety, low self-esteem and trauma. Currently, I practice both privately and part-time at the NHS Burns Psychology Service at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, where I support clients coping with trauma from burn injuries, often compounded by difficult life histories.
Many clients come to me for challenges with their relationships, feeling stuck in unhelpful patterns, struggling with overthinking, or simply feeling overwhelmed by their day to day lives.

In my 10 years of working in mental health I’ve learnt that these mental health struggles very often stem from difficult past experiences, which shape how we view ourselves, our relationships with others, and how we respond to stress.

My approach focuses on:
-
deepening our understanding of the impact of what we have been through
-
processing past memories to support us to develop new ways of thinking and feeling and
-
working towards goals which are aligned with our unique personal values, to support us to live a meaningful and fulfilling life.

If this resonates with you, I invite you to reach out for a free 30-minute consultation to discuss your needs. If I believe I can support you, I’ll invite you for a full assessment to outline your therapy journey.

Evidence Based Models
During my clinical psychology doctoral training I studied and practiced in the NHS in several evidence-based therapeutic models.
As a Clinical Psychologist my expertise lies in identifying your unique needs, and tailoring the therapy to you. This involves integrating evidence based therapeutic models to work in the way that best suits you.

Most commonly I use:
-
Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT),
-
Narrative Therapy (NT)
-
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
-
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)

I have chosen to additionally train in EMDR, due to my special interest in supporting clients to work through past trauma. However, EMDR can be used in many versatile ways. See YouTube link to learn more about this therapy.

I am experienced in practicing EMDR and have completed parts 1 and 2 of my EMDR accredited training. I am due to complete the final part in April 2025.
To ensure high quality care, I regularly meet with an EMDR consultant to enhance my skills and effectiveness in this area.
